DON Connect

Disability Options Network, the Center for Independent Living, offers an innovative virtual platform to help consumers better connect with the community and improve health and well-being. DON Connect was created in the Summer of 2022 as an outreach project using community health expansion funding from the Administration on Community Living.

DON Connect’s mission is to improve the health and wellness of people and communities both virtually and in person.

The program focuses on the dimensions of wellness including emotional well-being, social connections, financial education, environmental awareness, spiritual understanding, physical health, occupational interests, and intellectual engagement.

By working with other partners and individuals, DON Connect is creating a virtual library of content that consumers can access through a smart device with a WiFi connection. The program is continuing to grow through Gather For Change by creating connections at events in the community around shared interests.
